"WILD WHEELS" On July 22, 2004 Edgar M. Sotomayor, Associate Producer with GREYSTONE TV & FILMS in Hollywood contacted us and explained they were in the process of producing a series for THE HISTORY CHANNEL. They are to be called "Wicked Bikes & Extreme Bikes." He wanted to know if our club would have any interest in taking a part in it. He was particularly interested in doing some interviews and filming of our club members that would be attending Sturgis Bike Week. Naturally being glory hounds for positive publicity we jumped on that opportunity. We got it set up for him to meet and interview `DANCER' and `DIESEL'. This was a very successful venture and Edgar has been so impressed with the history and demeanor of our club that he has made follow up contact with BILL HAYES (BFMC NATL PRESS & PUBLICITY OFFICER) requesting additional information and interview opportunities with some of our ORIGINAL MEMBERS. We look forward to some good coverage of our club on the History Channel in the future. Below is a report from Diesel about their meeting with Greystone Film Crew on August 9 and 10, 2004:
The rundown with Edgar was fun. We scooted around Rapid City with the Crocker and another old bike in front. (Dancer will know what it was.) While the rest of us trailed. 8 or 9 of us. Even Rob from Conn. showed. Then on Tuesday Edgar came to Glencoe where Slick and I camped. Had a short interview with me then onto dancer. Now that was an educational one from my side. Dancer is a well rounded BFr in the history department. As far as the old boys from Calf. go. He made a new friend with the man that had the other bike. Seems as though the two of them like to restore cars. Only diff. is that I believe this man does it for a living. Edgar was what you'd expect. Full of fire. Not enough hours in the day to do all he has to do. Then the film crew. Laid back as you'd expect. Just doing they're job. See ya this weekend. I should have some pictures for you to look at. later Diesel
