September 15, 1923 - October 17, 2001 "A FEW OF HUNTER`S ACCOMPLISHMENTS" Combat with US Navy during WWII; Joined Boozefighters 1948; Clocked 101mph at speed trials 1949 and got free beer as prize; 123.55mph First Place Trophy 1950; 150.75mph at Bonneville, and became the 5th place National ranked Flat Tracker 1952; President of the Boozefighters 1953; Hunter`s body clocked 130mph at finish line - then his bike tumbled thru at 129mph during 1954; First place at Santa Ana Drag with 136 mph 1956; First Place and World Champ Bakersfield Drag 138.5mph 1957; Bonneville FASTEST HUMAN EVER ON TWO WHEELS @ 224.74mph 1958: National Scrambles Champ 1964; TT Champ 1966 and again 1967; During mid point of 1968 Hunter gets bored with winning all the time so he hung up his leathers, but he still ended up 9th place in points at the end of year standings. Hunter was inducted into the TRAIL BLAZERS HALL OF FAME in 2000.
