The Boozefighters' "French Connection"

Our country's politics are a touchy subject...especially now. We're in the middle of a war effort and it's an election year. The pot for this particular conversation is always in danger of quickly boiling over. One prime bit of news has centered around the conflicts we have been having with the government of France over our involvement in Iraq. From the news media one would get the impression that all Americans and all the French are like the Hatfields and the Mc'Coys.

That just ain't so.

And the common brotherhood of the biker lifestyle proves it.

Recently, a French biker magazine writer named Charlie Lecach contacted officers of the BFMC and asked if he could write a story on the club for a European publication. After his good intentions and honesty became clear he was given permission to do the piece. It paid off. Charlie's article was a six-page spread in one of France's most popular biker magazines. His work told the true history of the BFMC and our influence on world-wide biker culture.

And it began to be quickly clear that there are a lot of people in France who admire the legacy of the Boozefighters, the soul of the American biker, and what the American GIs of WWII did for France at Normandy and throughout the country's liberation.

More French bikers began to get in touch with the BFMC. It was discovered that a very popular biker bar in Methamis, France, is named "Boozefighters Revenge." There has even been a "Tribute Group" formed in France that has purchased many BFMC support items.

The article that appeared in France has been picked up by a large Italian biker magazine and will be published in Italy soon.

From Wino and the All American...to Hollister, '47...to an ever-expanding national membership...and now with world-wide support...the influence of the green and white just keeps on rollin'!
