        " The Original WildOnes."

Well, this is not a future event, it really happened.

Seems JQ went to Redondo Beach in California, (going to the Les Haserot party).

JQ spent the day with Bill Hayes sharing some of the many stories that will be in the book "The Original Wild Ones"  that will be available soon for your reading pleasure.

As things would have it Bill recalled a story he had been told by Vern Autry, one of the Original Boozefighters about a bar called Shanghai Red. The story was about some guy who was sitting on a barstool next to Vern when this guys jealous girlfriend walks in and shoots him three times.

The original Shanghai Red is long gone but, Bill knew a bar in San Pedro  that had a picture of the place.  So JQ says "Lets go get us a picture"...

They liked the place and the people in it so they settled for a picture of a picture.

Shanghai Red was known at the time to be one of the most notorious bars in San Pedro and it was not far from where the Boozefighters began in South Gate so it made sense that a Boozefighter might be in their having a cold beer when an irate lady walks in blasting away. (Can't wait to hear if Vern spilled any of that beer).

Vern shared a lot of stories with Bill and they will be told in the book.

So stay tuned to this site as Bill will be posting a few of the stories before the release of the book.

Also we will have some pictures and a few words of the   Les Haserot  party.
