Ken "Cowbell" York, Sgt at Arms.  Chapter 69

 

 

Big John pulled a coffin on a trailer behind his Boss Hoss bike as per Kenneth `COWBELL' York`s request.  He died of an incurable illness Feb 26, 2003 at his his residence in Hurst TX ( a suburb of Fort Worth ).  In addition to his wife Monica our Chaplain Irish Ed Mahan was at his side (in bed) holding him as he slipped away.
 
Cowbell had been a self employed long haul trucker until his health faded away.  He continued to retain the title of Sergeant-at-Arms for the Boozefighters Ch 69.
 
His funeral was at 1 pm Saturday March 1, 2003 at the Boozefighters Clubhouse.  Chaplain Irish Ed conducted the services.  Family and BFMC brothers & sisters convoyed in traditional biker procession to the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park for the burial.
 
Cowbell`s club colors are now retired in the BFMC Museum for all present and future generations to appreciate and remember the great contribution he was to our organization.
