ANOTHER BIG KNOT TIE'N
Aug 25, 2007 at the BFMC CH 69 clubhouse Chaplain Irish Ed Mahan presided over his 40th wedding for the Boozefighters. He united Mary Frye and Robert `Jarhead' Hunt in marriage. After the deal was done he invited the groom to kiss his wife...and he did. Then a bunch of relatives and or kids from both sides came up and joined in the photo shoot.
Then Mary announced that she had a surprise for `Jarhead' outside and wanted everyone to come out and see. Well they put a bandana mask over Jarhead and led him out after everyone else was outside. When they took the mask off all he could see was a bunch of his brothers in a cluster. But then they parted to the side and there was the most beautiful motorcycle you could ever want!
The interesting facts behind all of this is that Jarhead had looked at this bike on a showroom floor many times. Finally he ask his bride-to-be if it would be alright with her if he got that bike...and the additionally debt they'd both inherit. She finally agreed so Jarhead rushed down to the shop to make the purchase. The Sales Manager informed him that he was too late for the bike had been sold!!! Jarhead's balloon had been POPPED BIG TIME. He wanted that bike so bad he could taste it, and now it is forever GONE! Soooooooooo now you can see and appreciate the extra thrill he experienced with his wedding day. Mary had pulled a fast one on him with a bait & switch scheme. And I ask you..."IS THAT MARY A GREAT BRIDE - OR WHAT??? `Jarhead' is one fortunate guy I think. And I think that couple is off to a great start and I know all of us Boozefighters & Boozettes are totally supportive of their new union. Hang in thar Mary & Jarhead...we all wish you two and you're families the very best...FOREVER. |
