"CABO"
THE
$250 BOOK ARE YOU KIDDING
ME, A COPY OF “THE ORIGINAL WILD ONES” BOOK SOLD FOR $250.00
???? That’s right---- ‘CABO’ had to pay $250.00 to get a
copy of the book “ The Original Wild Ones”. Now to get the story right I’ve
got to explain. ‘Cabo’ ain’t no fool. There is a special reason for this
high stake transaction. First I must point out the fact that due to high
demand the book SOLD OUT Shortly after it was first
released at the book signing in Hollister, CA during the July Forth 2005
weekend. Second this book was among a few that JQ snecked
home with. 6 of them were offered for sale thought a special
drawing to club members. But most importantly the forth and main reason
‘Cabo’ was the high bidder was because all the proceeds for the sale was
being donated to the chapter 69’s scholarship fund to help a needy kid go to
collage. We applaud Cabo’s generous contribution for such
worthy cause. Now as soon as he gets of his busy ass and sends me
his bio I will try to complete this story. Stay tuned. JQ JQ asked ‘Cabo’ to tell us something about him self. Below is his brief statement: Michael “Cabo” Levitz Born May 9th 1964 Has custody of 2 children Jake (6) and Josh (2). Recently moved from Grand Prairie to Southlake.
Been a Boozefighter for almost 2 years. Served as Treasure of Chapter 69 since June of 2004. President/Owner of Ashley Furniture HomeStore of DFW since June of 2002. Vice President of The RoomStore Furniture form 1992 to 2002. Have been working in furniture stores around the country in special consultant capacity. With a last name like Levitz what else would I do?
Started riding at age 6 on a Honda Trail 50. As I grew I went to the 125cc then the 250 cc. My first street bike (which I still own) was a 1975 Honda CB550 supper sport. Got my first Harley about 8 years ago. A dyna Lowrider. Also owned a 1200 sportster, Dyna wideGlide, and I currently own 2 Harleys, a Screaming Eagle Electra Glide and a RoadKing.
Over the years I have been around some different clubs and all sorts of bikers. I had always thought about the possibilities of getting involved with a club. I would try and meet different clubs and find out about them. Then finally a few years back during the Austin ROT rally I had a chance to meet a few members of the Boozefighters. Then I saw the TV show on the Boozefighters and later that same month one of the bike magazines also had a story on the club. In the magazine article it mentioned that the HQ was in Ft. Worth. Well, I was just a biker with not many people to ride with. So I got on the Internet and track down this site. I wrote an email explaining my interest in the club and got an invitation from Duke to come up on a party night and meet the club. The rest is history.
People wonder about my road name. I got Cabo from 2 places. Cabo San Lucas is my favorite place to go. I have spent probably 2 years of my life there, 10 days at a time. Also I have been known to bring a bottle of Cabo Wabo tequila to events and send it around the crowd till it’s gone. Or just sit and drink it with JQ till I GB (remember Lake Murray). I also sport a large tattoo of the Arch at Cabo San Lucas on my arm.
Being a member of the Boozefighters has given me a new lease on life not only has it been fun and exciting but the brotherhood has given me a family that I love.
Cabo ….
